Too Bad ... So Sad ... Someone's Gotta Die

I've been listening to the Dixie Chicks sing Goodbye Earl. Not because I'm a country fan (I'm not) but it's a fun tune that puts me in the mood for murder.

You see, I finished the first draft of book two. Yay! But even as I typed The End I knew it was only *ding ding* the end of round one.

So heading into round two I realized early on I needed another dead body. Someone has to die. I don't know who. Sorry Dixie Chicks it won't be Earl.

It really doesn't matter who, what matters is HOW. I'm open to your ideas.

In the meantime ... La la la ...
"And they don't lose any sleep at night 'cause Earl had to die"

Yay for the first draft!! Way to go!

Kill off someone, you'll feel better. I like killing off characters to the sounds of bands like Bush and Nine Inch Nails. Can't stand to listen to those bands otherwise, so they're perfect to put me in a sufficiently murderous mood. ;o)

Hmmm. Bush and Nine Inch Nails are PERFECT for murder! So, any suggestions on HOW I should kill someone? I'm bored with knives and guns ...

Poison? Intentional overdose? You know, a little too much potassium goes a long long way. Pushed off a building or under a cross-town bus? Fire? Asphyxiation? I once had the idea for the murderer to mail his victim a cake made with ingredients the victim was deathly allergic to - like peanut butter or soy products, or something like that.

If you're still unsure, watch old CSIs and see if you can use some of their methods in a new way.

Ha! I love that song!

And I'm actually wrestling with the opposite problem right now. I have too many bodies and have to take at least one out to streamlne the plot. ;-(

Hey Rachel, give me one of yours and I'll trade you some, er, um, ... how about a half dozen pages of deleted bad narrative LOL?!
