Feeling Upside Down
I have a cold
and it's making me feel all discombobulated.
You know that feeling when you're light headed and everything you say sounds like you're talking in a tunnel?
Never fails that I pick up a bug at this time of year when I'm running around like that ol' chicken without a head.
Basically I'm ready for the holidays. There are a few small exceptions. Like I woke up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night realizing I hadn't done the Christmas sugar cookies with the kids yet. No biggie. We'll do that today. I'll try not to cough all over the batter.
For me, "being ready" just means the shopping is done. The rest of the stuff ... cleaning ... cooking ... strangling relatives ... all that just comes in it's own time.
So are you all ready for the holidays? And what does being ready for the holidays mean to you?

I'm ready for Christmas which means, the gifts have been wrapped and sent to out of towners and those that I'll see.
After Christmas, then I'll be ready for it to leave.
I haven't wrapped a single gift yet, but other than that, I'm ready. Bought the duck, bought the gifties and they all arrived, put up the tree and other decorations, sent the cards, put up the cards I received (I tape them all up around the picture window)... check, check, checkity, check.
Sorry you're feeling gross. There's a bug going around that I'm trying desperately to avoid getting. I hate being sick around holidays. Feel better soon. :hugs:
Well I've now finished work (3pm finish Christmas Eve after a 7.15am start with half an hour for lunch!). I have not sent a single card or present and am only now (9pm our time) sending a few Christmas e mails to family far away (already late for the Australian branch, its Christmas morning there!). I plan to do as little as possible tomorrow apart from eating (although guilt will make me do a workout before I cook!). We are having a very unusual spell of weather in England with temperatures as low as -14c (6.8f) very cold for us but probably not for you but then I don't have central heating...
Hope you feel better soon
