Would you?
In researching a character for Ghost Dusters book two, I began checking into lip tattoos. I was completely surprised to find how common they are.
Of course the idea of lip tattoos has been around for a while. A tattoo can be a way of finding the bloodline pedigree of a horse.
But in this day and age people are choosing to decorate themselves in many styles and arts of tattooing. I'm sure to choose a word for your own lip would take a lot of thought.
Or maybe not.
If I had to choose a word, it wouldn't be beer. Maybe the word joy. Then again I may only choose that one because it's short and the thought of having a needle pierce the inside of my lip for a longer word is a tad nauseating.
If you could choose a single world to mark yourself with, what would you choose?

Wow. When I read the title in bloglines, I assumed you meant the permanent makeup sort of thing. I can't even get beyond the idea to think of a word! Yikes! Yeah, needles and me, not so good.
Anissa, that makes me wonder ... do you think the permanent makeup thing is more painful than other tattoos?
Well, I try to imagine the number of times they'd have to poke my lips to cover them in a color. Seems like it would hurt. Then again, I don't have any tattoos, so it's hard to say. I try to avoid needles when at all possible. ;)

I can't seem to get past the thought "ouch!!!" to any other word. Maybe 'crazy.' But too many letters--OUCH!!

Spy, ouch is great. If someone tried to touch the word you could bite them and give 'em an ouch too he he.

its very hard to decide what it would say i was thinking "say this sooner" then thought that would be a bit long not thinking about the pain, more that it wouldn't fit on my lip

I had the inside of my lip tattooed last week. I got 2 musical notes with a heart between them. It was my first tattoo and in no way do i regret it.
