What gets you off your duff?

I've been sick with a stomach flu but the worst seems to be over. Still, I'm dragging myself around wondering how to get my energy back.

Today in the shower I even shampooed with Suave's Tangerine shampoo. Big deal, you say? Well, on the back it says:
"In between grocery shopping and dry cleaning pick-up, treat your hard-working self to this invigorating tangerine scented shampoo that gently cleanes."

So what, you say? Well on the directions it says:

"Lather into hair. Inhale pure tangerine bliss. Then rinse. Hop out feeling ready to face the laundry with a renewed vigour."
Even when I'm not sick I gotta tell you that laundry is not fun and I certainly have never approached it with anything close to 'vigour'.

I lathered.
I rinsed.
I even repeated.
Still no vigour for laundry or much else. I'm going to stick with a triple-tall-low-fat-latte.

How about you? What gets you off your duff when your energy is low?

a phone call from an unexpected person or a big old bowl of Praline and Cream ice cream.

Pralines & Cream ... YUM! Too bad my tummy can't handle it yet :(

Sorry to hear you've been feeling gross. There's something like that going around over here, too.

When I need an extra picker-upper, I make my coffee extra strong. Nothing like a cup of sludge to get me hoppin'. OJ also works wonders, especially in the evening when I don't want caffiene.

Feel better soon. =o)

*hugs* re the stomach bug. So not fun. And neither is laundry, no matter how much Suave wants to pretend otherwise.

I've been energy-less so long I have no clue how to get any back. I'm open to suggestions, too!

In the UK we have a range of products called 'Original Source' with tea tree oil. The Mint one certainly wakes you up but you have to be careful what you wash with the shower gel!!!
All that said I certainly need to be more awake as this week I have signed up to complete the 'Race for Life', a 5km run to raise money for cancer research. I lost my old school friend last summer so, although I'm the world's worst runner, I'm going to do it for her. My sponsor form is filling up nicely already...

B.E. my coffee is always strong but right now my stomach can't really handle too much of it. I'm going to try OJ. I've never thought of juice for in the evening!

Tori, I hope you find your get-up-and-go too!

Wend, sorry to hear about your friend. Good luck with your run! I have tea tree oil but it smells awful. Will have to look out for some of the mint kind.
