This weekend I was writing a scene in Ghost Dusters 3 where Sadie goes to the birthday party of a five year old. I wanted the party to be a tad extravagant and over the top and that brought me to this article about kids' birthday parties. Now with four kids myself I can tell you that throwing birthday parties can be expensive but spending thousands on a party for little kids is ridiculous! My favorite line in the article is "Some parents, however, worry that expensive parties for children result in mixed-up values..." Um. Gee. You think? It just seems soooo wrong to be so extravagant particularly when really and truly the kids just want to have a good time with their friends.
Anyway, I got so caught up in the article that it lead me to think that Sadie should definitely attend one of these over the top, too lavish affairs. What kind of party games do you think they'd play at this kind of party? Pin the diamond on Paris Hilton? Suggestions?

I'd guess all the little girls would go home with Prada goodie bags. :-) That's one party I'd LOVE to attend! LOL!
