Unpredictable

This past weekend I attended the Write on Vancouver mini-conference where I got to listen to fabulous Lisa Jackson. It was a great way to fill the well. I also got to hook up with some buddies, particularly Eileen Cook. We're pictured above looking exhilerated yet slightly exhausted from a full day. If it looks like I was recovering from a laughing fit it's because I was. Some people just bring out the silly, giggly little girl in me and Eileen happens to be one of those people. She also creates fabulous, fun characters in Unpredictable.

It occurred to me that perhaps some of you unlucky people have not yet had a chance to read Eileen's great, so I got her to sign a copy as a blog give away.

I'm off to Mother's Day Tea at my kids' school today and then off to Winnipeg to visit my own mother so I'll be away from the blog for a few days. Comment about Mother's Day, people who make you giggly or just life in general and I'll enter you to win Eileen's book :)

My husband makes me giggly. We're silly together sometimes, and we try to have fun with the absurdity of life. I sent my mother her goodie package on Monday (priority mail, so I hope it gets there on time). This year she got a regular present, a couple books and a loaf of homemade apple bread. Good stuff.

Have fun in Winnipeg, Wendy, and have a safe trip. =o)

Thanks for having me and the book today! I have to say in the photo you look giggly- I look like I had a few drinks- which for the record- I hadn't. At least not yet.

b.e., how sweet your hubby makes you giggly! That's the way it should be :)

Eileen, you don't look drunk. I've seen you drunk and that's not the look *kidding*!

My kids make me giggle. They're so creative and imaginative I sometimes wonder where they get their ideas. I'm not sure what my plans are for Mother's Day yet. The kids and I will probably go visit my parents to wish my mom a happy day. Hope you have a great trip.

Ah, yes, I distinctly recall laughing through our entire dinner with Eileen at last October's Emerald City Writers Conference in Bellevue, WA. She can definitely start the giggles that quickly turn to guffaws. ;-)

Hey Wendy,

This is a wonderful opportunity. Please enter me to win Eileen's book. I think Mother's Day should be everyday, and I try to act like it is. You only get one mother, and this day is just a small way to show her thanks.

Warm regards,
Michelle Lauren

A Mother's Day Tea sounds so fun. I just got back from visiting my Mom ~ we took her Great-Granddaughter to visit and wish her Happy (Great-Grandma) Mother's Day.
I haven't had a chance to read Eileen's book yet ~ would love to though. ;)
