What's in a name?

I've been racking my brain to try and come up with the name for the bad guy in a new book. He's evil and does terrible, terrible things. I'm looking for suggestions.

He's a middle-aged white male but I'm not going to give you anymore info than that. So who has ticked you off lately? Is there anybody you HATE or dislike enough to suggest? Um. First names only please!

I have a couple that fits your profile:

Brian
Roger
Doug

My sister's ex-husband comes immediately to mind, especially if the villain dies a particularly painful and humiliating death.

I'm still a little bitter

Oh, I forgot to mention the ex's name is Ben, but we usually call him names not fit for print

Dru, Brian is a no because there's a Brian in Remains of the Dead. Roger & Doug are a possibility.

Anon, I may have to think of a particularly horrid death for Ben ;) Any suggestions?

Anon I found out after I left my ex they called him the Box o Rocks LOL

I have to vote for Jake. Or Allan...Allan Simms (they're one in the same. It's a long story and proves truth really is stranger than fiction)

Walter. I don't know anyone named that that's been awful, but it sounds dubious.

Smurf, I love a good story LOL. Must google Allan Simms and Jake ;)

Chandra, I know someone with a dog named Walter and he is awful lol!

When I'm stuck for names, I like to use the Random Name Generator at http://www.kleimo.com/random/name.cfm

Sorry to be late, but I didn't notice this post sitting here. Unfortunately, most the names of people I dislike I've already used.

Here's a few off the top of my head:

Al
Jesse
Ken
Bob
Lane

My daughter said if she was going to name a villian it would be something long and flowery and pretentious. or "Give them three names, LOL." (The old Seinfeld joke about serial killers having three names.)

Booklady, thanks for the link! I've never heard of the site before.

b.e., LOL on the serial killers having 3 names. Your daughter is great. I love to see pretentious killers go down.

Drew.

Even though I have a son named Andrew, I dislike the short form, Drew, intensely.

My other son is Ben. I love that name!

How about "Colon"? kind of immediately reminds me of a behind.

Cindy, in my new wip I've named the hero Ben :)

jp, you almost made me spew coffee on my monitor with Colon! Behind indeed :)
