Let's make one thing perfectly clear...

I. HATE. SNOW. Hate it.

Oh sure it comes along and makes everything a pretty, sugary white. It promises a fluffy, coolness. It even makes my weed-choked garden look picturesque. But I despise it with a white hot hatred that should melt the crap on site.

Don't get me wrong, snow has it's place. I admire it on TV. I gaze with awww when I see it on the mountains that cozy up to my city. And, yes, I've even been known to take mini ski vacations where I attempt to go down the slippery sh*t on two skinny rods and keep my balance.
However, when I go to IT then it's okay. I don't like it when snow comes to ME.

Yes, I have snow issues. Perhaps it's the fact that I was raised in Winnipeg where temperatures easily dip to -25 for a few months.

Can you tell that we've had an unusual amount of snow this year? In the twenty-something years I've lived in the Vancouver area we've never had this much snow and it's never lasted this long. Even the kids don't wake up and say "yay!" when they see the white stuff outside like they did the first few days. As a matter of fact, they don't even want to go outside anymore. And the first day back to school after Christmas vacation is a snow day! Oh and just try housebreaking a puppy in snow that buries her. Fun. Lots of fun.

Rant over he he!

Tell me...how do you feel about the snow?

I like snow and have been wishing we would get the snow storms that PNW is getting. Please send some of your storm to the NYC area.

Dru, the great melt is supposed to start today. I'll put in a good word that it now comes your way ;)

I live in Arkansas and we rarely see snow here. I love it when we do get it though.

I like to see it, but as far as going out in it? No thanks. I'll pass.

I have the opposite problem, Wendy. Every year we keep getting less and less snow and more ice! I hate ICE! My boys are dying to make a snowman so send some our way! ;)
ps- I just finished DMR. It was awesome. Do I really have to wait until next DECEMBER for the next one?? ;)

We've just had a cold snap here with temperatures down to -6c - not what we're used to in England and it lasted a week or so. My house has no central heating so we all fought for space in front of the stove in the living room before dashing to bed and diving under the duvet!

Snow - Hmmmm I have a hate hate relationship with it. I think its because I have lived in Alberta my whole life until just recently and yep like Winnipeg we to had several months of cold bitter weather. So I was happy to move out this way and to my horrified surprise does it rain lots this winter NOOOOOO - I can't believe the amount of snow that hit us in Surrey - put Edmonton to shame but alas I am happy as it seems to have almost left us and we have had a few beautiful sunny days....I hope it lasts!!hahaha....
