I'm off to Seattle for a research trip.
If you're in the area, come and visit me. I'll be doing a reading and signing of Remains of the Dead on Tuesday, Feb. 19th at 7:00 pm at the University Book Store in Bellevue (990 102nd Ave NE).
While I'm in Seattle I plan to visit some popular locals like Pike Place Market and the Space Needle just to see what it would be like to have a character die there. I'll also drink lots of coffee because I need the names of a few more independent coffee locals for Ghost Duster book three.
What are you doing for fun this week?

I have been instructed to tell you that my grandmother found Remains of the Dead very compelling. In fact, for about five hours she wouldn't talk to the rest of us, because she had to find out who was the killer.
This is pretty amazing, because my grandmother isn't into paranormal stuff. :)
Hi Wendy!
Hope you have a great time in Seattle.
I recommend Cafe Lladro for some fantastic espresso. One of the only places I will order an Americano!
El Diablo Coffee Co. on top of Queen Anne Hill has good to great (depending on who the barista is that day) cuban coffee. Cafe Con Leche is made by steaming milk with sugar & has an almost caramel taste. While you're up there, check out the amazing views from Kerry Park (a/k/a The Picture-Taking Park)
Take Care
Chandra, I think I'm in love with your grandmother :)
I've used both Cafe Lladro and El Diablo's in my books so I'll definitely be paying them a visit.
Wendy, I wish I was off to Seattle with you. Instead I'm trying diligently to clean black permanent marker out of my beige carpet. I also gave the boys a bath first thing this morning to try to scrub said marker off of Twin B. Luckily I got most of it off his face, but it's all over his feet, belly and oh, yes, even his private parts. Calgon...take me away!
