Danke Vielmals! (translation: Many Thanks!)

My current big news is that Random House in Germany (Goldmann Verlag) has bought German rights for Remains of the Dead! Woo Hoo ... not sure how to say that in German, um, maybe begeistert?

The book won't be out in Germany for over a year but it'll be cool to see what kind of cover they come up with.

In other news, I've decided to go ahead and get the Lasik eye surgery done and I'll be setting my appointment today.
UPDATE: I scheduled my eye surgery for Apr. 16th. The countdown has begun!

Congrats! Good luck with the Lasik. Everyone I know who has done it has been very happy about it.

Yea! On both counts. And please let me know how the surgery goes. I'm curious about that myself. ;-)

Woohoo! Congrats on the German sale.

A friend's husband had the Lasik done and he's loving seeing the world without glasses. I'll be thinking about you on the 16th.

Congrats on the German release!

I had lasik surgery about 9 years ago, and this sounds dramatic, but it did indeed change my life. I had always worn thick glasses. Without them, it was as though people saw ME for the first time. I highly recommend it for anyone who is interested. You will be so happy that first moment after the surgery when you can actually see the faces of people around you.

Enjoy!
